Our Executive Producer of TDFUK, Suzanne Clandon talks Festivals, Family Culture and Good Vibes! Here we put Suze in the Faculty Spotlight. Read on to see what she has to say…..
How was your experience of the Tap Dance Festival 2017?
It exceeded ALL my expectations and a little bit more. It was wonderful to see over 10 countries represented and I am looking forward to 2018 to growing more and building the community even further.
To you, what makes TDFUK different?
There’s a real culture there, a real warmth, a real heart about it that makes it family. We’re creating an extra special opportunity to be exposed to different things and to travel whilst growing the tap dance community, in particular up north, which is amazing!
Do you have any upcoming projects which you’d like to share?
I’ve a lot of upcoming projects on the horizon. I don’t want to jinx anything at the moment but there’s more coming soon….
Is there any advice you would give to anyone attending TDFUK18, or to any upcoming tappers/dancers?
Keep an open mind – Expect to be surprised – Bring your best self forward – Know that this is a platform for you to explore and create – You should feel like its your home and you can be yourself in our community and you can add freely.
What are you most looking forward to at the Tap Dance Festival 2018?
The dream believe achieve workshop that myself and Maud are coordinating. It’s going to help people to really tap into their goals and propel themselves forward. Also the future faculty lab series, which is going to help us find new talent. It’s opening up that platform to explore and create and share with the rest of the community. and promote themselves and develop their skills.
And finally, what can we expect from you at TDFUK? Why should we come to your workshop?
A lot of fun! A Good time! Great music! A good vibe ALWAYS!
