We are delighted to be welcoming Kaia Koehler to the TDFUK faculty for 2022!
Kaia Koehler is a native of San Francisco, CA, where she was fortunate enough to study under Sam Weber. Kaia was selected as one of eleven dancers from across the globe to attend the School at Jacob’s Pillow and is an alumnus of the tap dance program. During her time at the Pillow, she was mentored by Program Directors Michelle Dorrance, Derick K. Grant, and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, amongst other guest faculty. Although she received her B.A. in Therapeutic Psychology, Kaia is determined to continuously develop her artistic voice through extensive practise, teaching, and performing in the UK and the United States. Presently, Kaia is based in London, UK, teaches tap dance at Pineapple Dance Studios, and is a company member in Avalon Rathgeb’s professional tap dance company, Old Kent Road.
