Established and Renowned Professional Drummer Michèle Drees will be joining us at TDFUK for the first time this year. We are excited for Michèle to share nuggets of wisdom in the Open Level Musicality for Tap Dancers Class taking place on Sunday 21st February 5.30pm – 6.15pm. Michèle will be leading participants through a series of exercises and concepts that will no doubt support them when performing with LIVE musicians.
Michèle Drees is an established professional drummer for over 35 years.Michèle’s trio has played for the London Tap Jam since 2009. Having learnt tap dance alongside her drumming, she has a deep love and respect for this craft. Michèle also runs her MDJTP Jazz Tap Project and has a mission to bring tap dance into all the great jazz festivals. She has performed at Ronnie Scott’s, the Elgar Room, Purcell Room, in Brazil at Chorando Sem Parar Festival and many more. Michèle has taught musicality workshops for tap dancers for many years including in Stockholm, Brighton, London and Rio.
