Claire Dowling, a 11-year-old dancer from Kerry, Ireland has been awarded one of the available scholarships from the TDFUK Silver Sponsor, MIME Solutions Ltd.
MIME Solutions wanted to award scholarships to new as well as to advanced tap dancers, so that tap dance can develop at all levels. Although Claire has not been tap dancing for long she is clearly showing her talent and lots of enthusiasm. She has already been selected for the team going to the National Dance Championships, Ireland in April 2018. Her teacher Dr Trish said:
“Claire shows such energy and commitment to tap dance, you can see how much she loves it and it’s great that she has this opportunity – I am so pleased for her”
Claire is looking forward to the Tap Dance Festival UK and to have the opportunity to dance with the Kerry Tap Ensemble in the Showcase.
“I jumped up and down when I heard, I’ll have my Chloe and Maud shoes on and get to dance with Maud Arnold – woo hoo”
