Liz Carroll!!

Liz Carroll is a dancer working in the New York/New Jersey area. She discovered rhythm tap at fifteen, when she began working with Ms. Deborah Mitchell as a member of NJTAP’s pre-professional youth ensemble, NJTAP2. After three years with the second company, she was invited to join the professional company, with which she’s performed at prestigious venues such as the Duke on 42nd St, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Rutgers University, Ocean County College, and SOPAC, among others. She is an alumni of the Gifted and Talented Honors Dance Program of Somerset County’s VoTech, where she studied modern, contemporary, ballet, and jazz.

Since then, she has travelled to learn from today’s top performers at dance festivals across the country, studied under Cartier Williams in Cartier Williams Dance Theatre, with which she’s performed in venues such as Macy’s Herald Square, and performed with Maurice Chestnut’s “Dance Therapy” in venues including NJPAC, the Faison Firehouse in Harlem, Newark Symphony Hall, and Montclair’s “Dance on the Lawn”. Liz has taught and performed internationally at Hot Taps, SCVTHS Tap Intensive, and the Tap Dance Festival UK. In pursuing her career in the dancing community, she has worked for dance festivals such as the DC Tap Fest and the Tap Dance Festival UK. Recently, she choreographed and directed a tap video entitled “What Do I Know” that won the Harlequin Floor “The World Dances” Scholarship. She is currently an undergraduate student at Pace University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature.
