Dear TDFUK Community,
I encourage us all as Tap Dancers, Tap Dance Educators, Tap Dance Enthusiasts and Lovers of this art form to continually educate ourselves about the history of the art form, the history of black culture and communities in order to develop our own understanding and learn how we can be better allies in our communities. This is a pillar upon which TDFUK was established and operates.
The wonderful Karida Griffith Walker is hosting an online seminar named “Racism and The Dance World – From Historical Context to the Current Climate” on Saturday 6th June @ 8pm BST. She will be addressing…
- Why Race Matters
- The Historical Backdrop
- The Way Forward.

I believe this will be an awakening and thought provoking discussion. I for one shall be in attendance. If you can’t be there for whatever reason and are curious to understand and learn more, I am also here and willing to offer my time towards engaging with people in non-violent, non-threatening conversation with the intention of sharing, de-mystifying, learning and promoting mutual respect and understanding. If you would like to connect, please feel free to reach out to me.
In peace, unity, respect, love and light,
Suze Xx
